Group Therapist/Instructor: Siddharth Ashvin Shah, MD, MPH

Following an internship in Psychiatry at the prestigious Menninger Clinic, Dr. Shah completed a residency in Preventive Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. Fully trained in state-of-the-art medicine, he practices with an integrative health care philosophy. Dr. Shah dedicates himself to helping people seeking physical, emotional, and spiritual healing in the face of chronic or catastrophic illness.

 

Description: This group will provide opportunities for both didactic and experiential learning. You will learn self-help and new ways to interact with others. It will be a place to discuss the personal issues, choices, feelings and concerns that people with medical illness often have.

*Within a few weeks, you will learn self-treatments including guided imagery, breath re-training, and self-hypnosis. Audio tapes for home included at no additional charge.

 

Times: 75 minutes/session/week; minimum 4 weeks commitment.

Fees: $65/session. Payment required to reserve your place in the group.

Most insurance carriers reimburse 60% or more for group-based therapies.
